About DriverWorks™ Drivers

DriverWorks drivers must be manually downloaded and installed. The below drivers are contained within ZIP archives. Some of these downloads contain multiple files such as "Read Me" documents. DriverWorks drivers are compatible only with Control4 Release 1.7.0 and greater.

All Card Access DriverWorks drivers below have been tested and certified for use in the most recent releases of Control4 Versions 1.7.x, 1.8.x, and 2.0.x except where noted.

Installing a DriverWorks Driver

Download any of these ZIP files and save them to an easy-to-find location, such as your computer desktop. Then "unzip" the file using software such as WinZip or the built-in Windows unzip feature.

Composer Versions 1.8.x and 2.0.x

Open Composer. In the top main menu under "Drivers," select "Add Driver" from the list. Select the new driver .c4i file you just downloaded and click "Open."
Close and restart Composer.� Your new driver can be found in the "Search" tab under "Manufacturer:� Card Access"

Composer Version 1.7.x

Once you unzip a download you should see a file that ends with a ".c4i" extension. Copy the .c4i file into the "My Documents\Control4\drivers" folder on the PC that you will be using to configure the project in Composer.
Start or restart Composer.� Your new driver can be found in the "Search" tab under "Manufacturer:� Card Access"

Updating a DriverWorks Driver (Composer Version 1.8.x and 2.0.x only)

Save the ZIP file to an easy-to-find location, such as your computer desktop. "Unzip" the file using software such as WinZip or the built-in Windows unzip feature.
Connect to an available Director (NOT Virtual Director). It is suggested that you make a backup of your project and document any programming you have in place that is related to the driver you will be updating.
Right-click on the device in System Design and select "Update Driver" from the menu. Select the new driver .c4i file you just downloaded and click "Open." Composer will then refresh. Check the version information under the "Documentation" tab to ensure it matches the version listed in the driver specifications below.

Note: All instances of the driver in the current project will be updated. Existing drivers in other projects will need to be updated on a per-Director basis. Any new projects you configure using this computer will use the updated version of the driver.

You can now delete the driver file you saved to your desktop (or other easy-to-find location), as Composer has automatically copied and placed it in the correct directories.

Smart Pressure Sensor Driver

Supported Models:

SPS10A with WCS10A-2 (EmberNet ONLY)

Description:

This Card Access DriverWorks driver supports ONLY the sensor listed above. This driver MUST be used in conjunction with the Card Access Wireless Contact Sensor running firmware version 01.03.17. Contact your Card Access regional sales associate for more details.

Mini Remote "Button Binding" Driver

Supported Models:

IMR10A, IMR10A-ZP

Description:

This Card Access DriverWorks driver is referred to as the "Button Binding Driver." This driver works in the same fashion as the original general release driver with the following addition:

The buttons on the Card Access Mini Remote are available for direct binding in the same fashion as Control4 LED Keypad buttons.

These drivers are compatible with all firmware versions of the Mini Remote, including ZigBee PRO.

Version 2.0 corrects the driver version error message upon start-up of Composer 1.8 and 2.0.

This Version 2.0 driver is REQUIRED for all ZigBee PRO 1.8 and 2.0 installations. Programming events will not execute if this driver is not properly updated. See "Updating a DriverWorks Driver" section above for instructions.

Mini Remote "Multi-Page" Driver

Supported Models:

IMR10A, IMR10A-ZP

Description:

This Card Access Mini Remote driver is referred to as the "Multi-page Driver."

FUNCTION SUMMARY: This driver works in the following manner:

1. Pressing Button5 (the largest button on the Remote) changes what the other 4 Buttons do. Each time Button 5 is pressed, the remote switches to a new "page" of functionality for each of the remaining 4 buttons. A total of 8 pages are supported, with 4 buttons on each page, for a total of 32 buttons maximum.

2. The LED Color can be uniquely set for each different Page. Example: Defining Page 1 as Audio Control (Red LED), defining Page 2 as Television Control (Blue LED), defining Page 3 as Lighting Control (White LED), defining Page 4 as Garage Door Control (Green LED), etc.

These drivers are compatible with all firmware versions of the Mini Remote, including ZigBee PRO.

Card Access HPC Lighting Driver

Supported Models:

HPC10A, HPC10A-ZP

Description:

This Card Access DriverWorks driver is used with the Card Access Heavy-Duty Power Controller (the HPC). When installed, the HPC Lighting Driver presents the HPC’s two high-voltage relays as lights in the Composer project and exposes all the necessary bindings to control the relays/lights with Control4 keypads, the Card Access Mini Remote, or Composer programming including Lighting Scenes.

Card Access Sensor Bridge

Supported Models:

ZGB10A, ZGB10A-ZP

Description:

This Card Access DriverWorks driver supports the first Card Access Sensor Bridge (ZGB10A) introduced into a project. Additional Sensor Bridges ("Expansion Bridges") added to the project will need to use the Expansion Bridge driver (ZGB10A-XP).

These drivers are compatible with all firmware versions of the Sensor Bridge, including ZigBee PRO.

Version 2.0 corrects the driver version error message upon start-up of Composer 1.8 and 2.0.

Card Access Expansion Bridge (ZGB10A-XP)

Supported Models:

ZGB10A, ZGB10A-ZP

Description:

This Card Access DriverWorks driver is only for additional "expansion" Card Access Sensor Bridges used in the same project. This driver is used ONLY in conjunction with an already installed ZGB10A driver. If only one Sensor Bridge is used in the project, then the Expansion Bridge Driver is not needed.

The maximum transmission range for these Wireless Sensors is 100 feet. When this is insufficient, Expansion Bridges are used to increase the coverage area for these Wireless Sensors.

When using two or more Sensor Bridges in the project, you must first add one ZGB10A driver for the first Sensor Bridge. Then, you will add one instance of this Expansion Bridge driver (ZGB10A-XP) for each additional bridge.

A total of four (4) bridges may be used in a single project.

These drivers are compatible with all firmware versions of the Sensor Bridge, including ZigBee PRO.

Version 2.0 corrects the driver version error message upon start-up of Composer 1.8 and 2.0.
